Summary of Available Funding
Replacement Truck must be new and have a Model Year (MY) 2019 or newer engine.
**Optional Low NOx Truck must have engine certified at 0.02 g/bhp-hr
***Truck with Natural Gas engine certified at the compliant NOx level of 0.20 g/bhp-hr
Basic Program Requirements
  • Applicant must be the legal owner of the heavy-duty diesel truck(s).
  • Existing truck must be used to transport goods for sale a majority of the time.
  • Class 5 or Class 6 truck with GVWR between 16,001 and 26,000 lbs and Engine Model Year (EMY) 2007 to 2009 (with possible exceptions).
  • Class 7 or 8 truck with GVWR equal to or greater than 26,001 lbs and EMY 2005 to 2009.
  • Completed the following for the past two years:
  • Minimum 75% of operations in California
  • California DMV registered
  • Class 5 or 6 – traveled at least 10,000 miles
  • Class 7 or 8 – traveled at least 20,000 miles
Prop 1B is currently open to new applications.
